How to choose your OnlyFans subscription price

By ZenSuiteUpdated 3 min read

A workable price belongs to a clear offer and a sustainable workload. Compare what subscribers actually pay, including discounts, rather than treating the displayed list price as revenue you will automatically receive.

Begin with the work you are promising

List the content included in membership, the publishing rhythm and the communication boundaries. Estimate the hours required to produce, check and deliver it. A low price is not automatically easy to sustain, and a high price does not itself prove that the offer is valuable.

Separate a creator’s subscription price from expenses and any outside support. Equipment, editing, administration and your time remain relevant even when an agency is absent. There is no single subscription price that is right for every project, and this guide does not claim a market benchmark.

Use the actual average price

Discounts and differing purchases can make the amount actually paid different from the price shown in your introduction. For the subscription model, use a consistent period and the actual average effective subscription price where your records allow it.

For an illustrative EUR example, 100 paying subscriptions at an actual average EUR20 produce EUR2,000 gross. Applying the model’s 20% platform deduction leaves EUR1,600 before tax, expenses and advisory. These are arithmetic assumptions, not typical earnings or a recommended price.

The platform deduction used to compare these prices comes from a historical 2021 OnlyFans/Fenix commission reference. It is a modeling assumption; verify the current terms and transaction adjustments that apply to your account.

Change one variable on purpose

Write down a question before testing: for example, whether a clearer offer at the same price changes the questions visitors ask. If you test price, keep the content description and observation period as comparable as possible. Record the effective date and any commitments to existing subscribers.

Do not interpret a few new purchases as proof that a price always works. Audience relevance, promotions and a different publishing week can change at the same time. If the available observations are too limited, describe the result as uncertain instead of inventing a conclusion.

  • State the offer and what is excluded.
  • Record the actual price paid, not only the advertised price.
  • Use matching observation periods.
  • Include the hours needed to maintain the offer.

Choose a sustainable next decision

Compare revenue after the modeled platform deduction with your costs and time. That figure is not profit. A scenario with more subscribers may also require more service work, while fewer subscribers at a higher price may change expectations.

Avoid promising lower workload or higher earnings solely because you changed the price. Review the calendar and response windows before expanding the offer. An advisor can help structure a comparison and interpret your records; the final pricing decision remains yours.

Questions and answers

Should I copy another creator’s price?

Not without understanding the different offer, workload and audience. A visible price does not reveal realised revenue, costs or the circumstances behind it.

Is revenue after the platform fee my take-home profit?

No. Taxes, other expenses and any advisory fees remain outside that figure. Your own time also matters when comparing two ways of running the project.
